Mission Statement
Since November 2005, the mission of the Hoover Run for Hope has been to involve the community and entire families in a 5K and Kid's 1-mile race to raise funds for pediatric patients and their families while undergoing treatment for cancer. The primary beneficiary of funds raised the last four years has been St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The Hoover Run for Hope maintains a passionate commitment to continue to raise funds, foster community support, and promote pediatric cancer awareness. The Hoover Run for Hope exists to provide continued financial support to St. Jude and welcome other organizations in the Nashville area that provide resources to families while seeking treatment for pediatric cancer. The Hoover Run for Hope is named in honor of Liam Hoover, who bravely fought his battle with cancer. Although he lost his battle, his courage and amazing smile inspired many in his community to begin this event. It is the desire of the board to continue this event in the hope that we will one day see a cure for pediatric cancer. Find us on Facebook
